Purexa Makes It Official: Rebranding for the Next Stage of Growth

After four years of building our future under Donaldson, we are making it official. As of March 23, 2026, we are retiring the Purilogics name and moving forward with our brand name Purexa, supported by our company, Donaldson Life Sciences. This transition reflects who we are today: a dedicated membrane chromatography brand backed by one of the most established filtration engineering companies in the world. 

The name may be changing, but everything customers rely on remains the same. Our team, technology, and commitment to advancing purification for complex biologics continue without interruption. What changes is the clarity and strength behind the brand we bring to market. 

A History Built on Innovation 

Founded in 2013 by Drs. Scott Husson and Jinxiang Zhou in Greenville, South Carolina, Purilogics was born from more than a decade of membrane chromatography research at Clemson University. Their work focused on solving a growing challenge in the biopharmaceutical industry: how to purify increasingly complex biologics quickly, consistently, and at scale. 

In June 2022, that vision entered a new chapter when Donaldson Company, Inc. acquired Purilogics and its Purexa product portfolio. With 100 years of filtration engineering expertise, a global manufacturing footprint, and deep experience in scaled operations, Donaldson saw the potential to bring these novel purification technologies to the broader bioprocessing market. The acquisition marked a strategic commitment to accelerating membrane chromatography development, commercialization, and global availability. 

Since then, Purexa products have become a core part of Donaldson Life Sciences, supporting the rapidly growing biopharmaceutical industry with proprietary membrane technologies designed for rapid drug purification from research to manufacturing.

Why Now? 

Retiring the Purilogics name has always been part of our long-term plan. Over the last four years, our team has strengthened the technology, expanded capabilities, and prepared for broader adoption in modern bioprocessing. Moving forward with the Purexa name signals our readiness for that next phase. 

Nothing about product performance is changing. SKUs, ordering workflows, distributor relationships, and quality documentation all remain the same. Some packaging and documents may still carry the Purilogics name during the transition, but all existing materials remain valid.
